I purchased mine (Shea Butter) today because my hands are cracking and very very sore.  I'm very happy to be feeling relief. You have no idea how much relief I'm feeling. I didn't show you how deep the splits were. I could barely use my fingers and thumb.

When I feel “blah” in the winter, I remember living as an International Educator in Doha, Qatar, a desert climate where the temperature never freezes. They created a winter activity by building an indoor skating rink in a shopping mall. A good reminder to transform my my mood to joy and focus on what I do have (positive emotion) rather than what I don’t have (negative emotion). #winterwellness #mentalhealth #winterstations #doha #qatarairways #qatarliving #joy ... 🎃Happy Halloween! My door sign is ready ✅This year we’re doing things differently. There’s an elderly person in our household so we’re vigilant about following COVID-19 safety guidelines. This morning I was reminded about the importance of creativity and how it may have a positive effect on our mental health and well being. I’m grateful for the gift of time and resources as I know these things may be a luxury for some. With this in mind, I felt joy creating my sign with a PSA message. According to research, creativity may have many benefits for both kids and adults : becoming good at dealing with uncertainty, finding the world to be a very interesting place, improving feeling calm and more! Some other possibilities of creativity: painting, drawing, writing poetry, stories, songs, decorating, rearranging a room and more! If time is an issue, set a timer for the length of your availability and create! How will you and your kids celebrate Halloween this year? I was invited to be a guest on the podcast School Talk created by Alex Battick to discuss the topic : The Role of Community Organizations in the Educational System. Being that this was my first podcast interview, I had mixed emotions: fear, excitement, gratitude etc.
To help me overcome the complexity of emotions in order to have the confidence for the interview, I made the time before the interview to do breathing exercises. The breath is an amazing internal signal we all have to alert us when we feel discomfort AND helps us return to comfort. Breath awareness is one of the many ways we can take yoga off the mat and invite it into our daily activities. Link to podcast in my bio ⬆️.

This is great sis🙌🏿🥰 well done!🌟

Gratitude comes in many forms such as thoughts, feelings, words, energy exchanges and actions. Gratitude has also been scientifically proven to have beneficial effects for positive mental health and well being. I’m so grateful to have been gifted this beautiful original painting from Ghanaian born Hamilton resident and artist Mr. Alifa Mobarak, husband of Sadia Fofana.
🎨 🖌 Mr. Mobarak’s inspiration for this painting is to bring Accra, Ghana to Hamilton. Within Accra, there’s a part of town named Amasaman where a market is located. This painting depicts the vendors wearing local dress selling produce. Mr. Mobarak’s creative choices consist of using blue and green, abstract and expression to see what he could create. Let the artist know your thoughts or for further information, comment below ⬇️

Sourced from the African Shea Nut in Ghana, West Africa, our blends are infused with specific Ayurvedic recommendations of essential oils suggested to help balance your mood and carrier oils to soothe and moisturize your skin.

Ayaressa Wellness Company has 4 Whipped Shea Butter blends to choose from: Unscented, Calm and Cool, Calm and Uplift, Energize.

Yoga

groovy kids yoga

We use yoga along with research-based neurological techniques to promote and maintain holistic wellness for all age groups.

Our kids yoga classes help to calm children and prepare them to be alert and ready to learn through simple breathing tools and mindfulness techniques. We also discuss acts of kindness towards self and others to promote positive interaction among children.

Athletic Bags

athletic bags

Our athletic bags are batik cotton blends designed and created in Ghana, West Africa. African prints are known for their vibrant colours and designs. Most designs carry a story from folklore represented by the symbols used in the batik fabric.

We purchase our bags from local artisan women owning small businesses. With each purchase, we empower the female artists to feed their families through their small business thus creating sustainable employment.
